American singer, rapper, songwriter Queen Latifah





Queen Latifah is an American singer, rapper, songwriter, record producer, comedian, spokesperson, author and actress. She worked in music, film and television. She has a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also got two Image Awards, a Garman Award. She has selected for six additional Grammy nominations, Emmy Award nomination and an Academy nomination.


Queen Latifah was born on March 18, 1970 in East Orange, Newark, New Jersey, and United State. Her birth name is Dana Elaine Owens. Queen Latifah is the child of Rita who was a schoolteacher at Irvington High school. Her father name is Lancelot Owens was a police officer. Her parents separated when she was ten years old. She went to Catholic school.


Queen Latifah has an elder brother who was departed this life in 1992 in an accident. Her music career has started in 1988. Her first album All hail the Queen released in 1989. Latifah started to singing in 2003. She also retuned to hip-hop in 2008 and involved with film.
